(6:1) ¹  The sons of Levi: Gershom, ²  Kohath, and Merari.

The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.

The son ¹  of Gershom: Shebuel ²  the oldest.

These are the names of the sons Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

To Gershom: His son Libni, his son Jahath, his son Zimmah,

son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi.

Shebuel ¹  son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was the supervisor of the storehouses.

When she bore ¹  a son, Moses ²  named him Gershom, for he said, “I have become a resident foreigner in a foreign land.” ³
