Can the papyrus plant grow tall ¹  where there is no marsh? Can reeds flourish ²  without water?

His hair ¹  began to grow back after it had been shaved off.

He covers ¹  the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides. ² 

You plant them like trees and they put down their roots. ¹  They grow prosperous and are very fruitful. ²  They always talk about you, but they really care nothing about you. ³

Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers ¹  of the field grow; they do not work ²  or spin.
