and the one who lives! I ¹  was dead, but look, now I am alive – forever and ever – and I hold the keys of death and of Hades! ² 

and said, “Sir, we remember that while that deceiver was still alive he said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’

and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. ¹  Do you believe this?”

After ¹  a few days, ²  the younger son gathered together all he had and left on a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered ³  his wealth ⁴  with a wild lifestyle.

“Sir,” ¹  the woman ²  said to him, “you have no bucket and the well ³  is deep; where then do you get this ⁴  living water? ⁵ 

Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes ¹  me will live because of me.

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

Jesus answered ¹  her, “If you had known ²  the gift of God and who it is who said to you, ‘Give me some water ³  to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” ⁴ 

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread he will live forever. The bread ¹  that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
