Simon and his companions searched for him.

“Simon, ¹  Simon, pay attention! ²  Satan has demanded to have you all, ³  to sift you like wheat, ⁴ 

Simon the Zealot ¹  and Judas Iscariot, ²  who betrayed him. ³ 

They ¹  called out to ask if Simon, known as Peter, ²  was staying there as a guest.

Simon Peter answered, ¹  “You are the Christ, ²  the Son of the living God.”

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, wash ¹  not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”

So Simon Peter ¹  gestured to this disciple ²  to ask Jesus ³  who it was he was referring to. ⁴ 

Then ¹  he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake for one hour?

Simon ¹  answered, ²  “Master, ³  we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word ⁴  I will lower ⁵  the nets.”

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, ¹  for I am a sinful man!” ² 

So ¹  Jesus answered him, ²  “Simon, I have something to say to you.” He replied, ³  “Say it, Teacher.”

Simon answered, ¹  “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled.” ²  Jesus ³  said to him, “You have judged rightly.”

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, ¹  “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.”

Then Simon Peter, who had been following him, arrived and went right into the tomb. He saw ¹  the strips of linen cloth lying there,

Now in that city was a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic ¹  and amazing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great.

Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to ¹  Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed. ² 

Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit ¹  was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, offered them money,

But Simon replied, ¹  “You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to ²  me.”

From Simeon ¹  Peter, ²  a slave ³  and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God ⁴  and Savior, ⁵  Jesus Christ, have been granted ⁶  a faith just as precious ⁷  as ours.
