And when he ¹  comes, he will prove the world wrong ²  concerning sin and ³  righteousness and ⁴  judgment –

and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.

Brothers and sisters, ¹  pray for us too.

I am praying ¹  on behalf of them. I am not praying ²  on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you. ³ 

Then the eunuch said ¹  to Philip, “Please tell me, ²  who is the prophet saying this about – himself or someone else?” ³ 

For ¹  we are in danger of being charged with rioting ²  today, since there is no cause we can give to explain ³  this disorderly gathering.” ⁴ 

and he himself is the atoning sacrifice ¹  for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world. ² 

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said,

Then ¹  he warned them not to tell anyone about him. ² 

concerning sin, because ¹  they do not believe in me; ² 

“Whole burnt offerings and sin-offerings you took no delight in.

Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

These things I have written to you about those who are trying to deceive you. ¹ 

When ¹  they saw him, ²  they related what they had been told ³  about this child,

I testify about myself ¹  and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

“I am not praying ¹  only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe ²  in me through their testimony, ³ 

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, ¹  mentioned the exodus of the sons of Israel ²  and gave instructions about his burial. ³ 

Concerning this salvation, ¹  the prophets ²  who predicted the grace that would come to you ³  searched and investigated carefully.

But when John rebuked Herod ¹  the tetrarch ²  because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, ³  and because of all the evil deeds ⁴  that he had done,
