But he forcefully commanded ¹  them not to tell this to anyone, ² 

Her ¹  parents were astonished, but he ordered them to tell no one ²  what had happened.

He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff ¹  – no bread, no bag, ²  no money in their belts –

While he was with them, ¹  he declared, ²  “Do not leave Jerusalem, ³  but wait there ⁴  for what my ⁵  Father promised, ⁶  which you heard about from me. ⁷ 

He ¹  commanded us to preach to the people and to warn ²  them ³  that he is the one ⁴  appointed ⁵  by God as judge ⁶  of the living and the dead.

Then ¹  he ordered the man ²  to tell no one, ³  but commanded him, ⁴  “Go ⁵  and show yourself to a priest, and bring the offering ⁶  for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, ⁷  as a testimony to them.” ⁸
