But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

But you did not learn about Christ like this,

Everyone who resides ¹  in him does not sin; ²  everyone who sins has neither seen him nor known him.

because he taught them like one who had authority, ¹  not like their experts in the law. ² 

You fools! ¹  Didn’t the one who made the outside make the inside as well? ² 

Was no one found to turn back and give praise to God except this foreigner?” ¹ 

but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ¹ 

Yet the Most High ¹  does not live in houses made by human hands, ²  as the prophet says,

thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, ¹  and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.

¹ who though he existed in the form of God ²  did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

and no lie was found on their lips; ¹  they ²  are blameless.

Every ¹  island fled away ²  and no mountains could be found. ³ 

Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother named Mary? ¹  And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?

But if you marry, you have not sinned. And if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face difficult circumstances, ¹  and I am trying to spare you such problems. ² 

We know that everyone fathered ¹  by God does not sin, but God ²  protects ³  the one he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him.

It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

Then ¹  he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, ²  not people for the Sabbath.

But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

Then ¹  Jesus said, ²  “Were ³  not ten cleansed? Where are the other ⁴  nine?

but ¹  they could not find a way to do it, ²  for all the people hung on his words. ³
