Then the Jewish leaders ¹  were astonished ²  and said, “How does this man know so much when he has never had formal instruction?” ³ 

Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! ¹ 

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for the church of God?

– if so, ¹  then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials, ²  and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment ³  at the day of judgment,

Do ¹  not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

For the unconverted ¹  pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

“But as for that day and hour no one knows it – not even the angels in heaven ¹  – except the Father alone.

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.

“But as for that day or hour no one knows it – neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son ¹  – except the Father.

And the person who saw it ¹  has testified (and his testimony is true, and he ²  knows that he is telling the truth), ³  so that you also may believe.

And he ¹  who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit ²  intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will.

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying.

And I know that this man (whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows)

His eyes are like a fiery ¹  flame and there are many diadem crowns ²  on his head. He has ³  a name written ⁴  that no one knows except himself.

I no longer call you slaves, ¹  because the slave does not understand ²  what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything ³  I heard ⁴  from my Father.

For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Otherwise, if you are praising God with your spirit, how can someone without the gift ¹  say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.

But the one who hates his fellow Christian ¹  is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. ²
