We know that God has spoken to Moses! We do not know where this man ¹  comes from!”

Thomas said, ¹  “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

And if we know ¹  that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now.

But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,

But we do not know how he is now able to see, nor do we know who caused him to see. ¹  Ask him, he is a mature adult. ²  He will speak for himself.”

But we know where this man ¹  comes from. ²  Whenever the Christ ³  comes, no one will know where he comes from.” ⁴ 

So they kept on repeating, ¹  “What is the meaning of what he says, ²  ‘In a little while’? ³  We do not understand ⁴  what he is talking about.” ⁵ 

Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth ¹  against those who practice such things.

For we know that the law is spiritual – but I am unspiritual, sold into slavery to sin. ¹ 

We know that we are from God, ¹  and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

So ¹  they answered Jesus, ²  “We don’t know.” ³  Then he said to them, “Neither will I tell you ⁴  by what authority ⁵  I am doing these things.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but ²  you people ³  do not accept our testimony. ⁴ 

You people ¹  worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews. ² 

So his parents replied, ¹  “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind.

We know that God doesn’t listen to ¹  sinners, but if anyone is devout ²  and does his will, God ³  listens to ⁴  him. ⁵ 

Now we know that you know everything ¹  and do not need anyone ²  to ask you anything. ³  Because of this ⁴  we believe that you have come from God.”

This is the disciple who testifies about these things and has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

And we know that all things work together ¹  for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

With regard to food sacrificed to idols, we know that “we all have knowledge.” ¹  Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
