Then one of the twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³ 

and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whom ¹  Jesus was born, who is called Christ. ² 

A man named Barabbas was imprisoned with rebels who had committed murder during an insurrection.

So Thomas (called Didymus ¹ ) ²  said to his fellow disciples, “Let us go too, so that we may die with him.” ³ 

Now Thomas (called Didymus), ¹  one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared, ¹  and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked up ²  to Jesus to kiss him. ³ 

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); ¹  “whenever he ²  comes, he will tell ³  us everything.” ⁴ 

And Jesus who is called Justus also sends greetings. In terms of Jewish converts, ¹  these are the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.

Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: ¹  first, Simon ²  (called Peter), and Andrew his brother; James son of Zebedee and John his brother;

He replied, ¹  “The man called Jesus made mud, ²  smeared it ³  on my eyes and told me, ⁴  ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and was able to see.” ⁵ 

Simon Peter, Thomas ¹  (called Didymus), ²  Nathanael ³  (who was from Cana ⁴  in Galilee), the sons ⁵  of Zebedee, ⁶  and two other disciples ⁷  of his were together.
