After we had safely reached shore, ¹  we learned that the island was called Malta. ² 

They ¹  said to her, “But ²  none of your relatives bears this name.” ³ 

But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” that none of you may become hardened by sin’s deception.

Their ¹  corpses will lie in the street ²  of the great city that is symbolically ³  called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified.

So ¹  Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth ²  in Galilee to Judea, to the city ³  of David called Bethlehem, ⁴  because he was of the house ⁵  and family line ⁶  of David.
