(This ¹  was a man who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection ²  started in the city, and for murder.) ³ 

And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors, ¹ 

Now all the Jews know the way I lived ¹  from my youth, spending my life from the beginning among my own people ²  and in Jerusalem. ³ 

So then, ¹  if she is joined to another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her ²  husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she is joined to another man, she is not an adulteress.
