At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

Pray that it may not be in winter.

Pray ¹  that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

But they said, “Not during the feast, so that there won’t be a riot among the people.” ¹ 

For if such things are done ¹  when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?” ² 

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. ¹ 

But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.

“that it may go ¹  well with you and that you will live ²  a long time on the earth.” ³

Now if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear among you, for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I am too.

For the hidden power of lawlessness ¹  is already at work. However, the one who holds him back ²  will do so until he is taken out of the way,

I pray ¹  that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing ²  that belongs to you ³  in Christ. ⁴ 

And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, ¹  he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, ¹  so that the outside may become clean too!

For then there will be great suffering ¹  unlike anything that has happened ²  from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen.

“Learn ¹  this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
