When ¹  they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem ²  to look for him.

When they found him on the other side of the lake, ¹  they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” ² 

Though ¹  they found ²  no basis ³  for a death sentence, ⁴  they asked Pilate to have him executed.

We found ¹  a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, ²  went aboard, ³  and put out to sea. ⁴ 

There ¹  we found ²  some brothers ³  and were invited to stay with them seven days. And in this way we came to Rome. ⁴ 

When they did not find them, they dragged ¹  Jason and some of the brothers before the city officials, ²  screaming, “These people who have stirred up trouble ³  throughout the world ⁴  have come here too,

For we have found ¹  this man to be a troublemaker, ²  one who stirs up riots ³  among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader ⁴  of the sect of the Nazarenes. ⁵ 

But ¹  since they found ²  no way to carry him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof ³  and let him down on the stretcher ⁴  through the roof tiles ⁵  right ⁶  in front of Jesus. ⁷
