And they began making fun ¹  of him, because they knew ²  that she was dead. ³ 

We know ¹  that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die ²  again; death no longer has mastery over him.

And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in ¹  our sufferings, so also you will share in ²  our comfort.

Formerly when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods at all. ¹ 

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

We know, ¹  brothers and sisters ²  loved by God, that he has chosen you, ³ 

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, ¹  because you know that we will be judged more strictly. ² 

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

We do so ¹  because we know that the one who raised up Jesus ²  will also raise us up with Jesus and will bring us with you into his presence.

Therefore we are always full of courage, and we know that as long as we are alive here on earth ¹  we are absent from the Lord –

because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this ¹  will be rewarded by the Lord.

because you know that you will receive your ¹  inheritance ²  from the Lord as the reward. Serve ³  the Lord Christ.

You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed – not by perishable things like silver or gold,

Jesus ¹  answered them, “You are deceived, ²  because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.

Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you deceived ¹  for this reason, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God?

And do this ¹  because we know ²  the time, that it is already the hour for us to awake from sleep, for our salvation is now nearer than when we became believers.

Therefore, because we know the fear of the Lord, ¹  we try to persuade ²  people, ³  but we are well known ⁴  to God, and I hope we are well known to your consciences too.

Masters, treat your slaves with justice and fairness, because you know that you also have a master in heaven.

Resist him, ¹  strong in your faith, because you know ²  that your brothers and sisters ³  throughout the world ⁴  are enduring ⁵  the same kinds of suffering. ⁶ 

“Come, have breakfast,” Jesus said. ¹  But none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they knew it was the Lord.
