So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

Now the Jewish feast of Passover ¹  was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ²

(Now Bethany was less than two miles ¹  from Jerusalem, ² 

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; ¹  its fate is to be burned.

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

But some boats from Tiberias ¹  came to shore ²  near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. ³ 

And so, because it was the Jewish day of preparation ¹  and the tomb was nearby, ²  they placed Jesus’ body there.

Then they returned to Jerusalem ¹  from the mountain ²  called the Mount of Olives ³  (which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey ⁴  away).

But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹ 

When he speaks of a new covenant, ¹  he makes the first obsolete. Now what is growing obsolete and aging is about to disappear. ² 

“Learn ¹  this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.

John ¹  was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim, ²  because water was plentiful there, and people were coming ³  to him ⁴  and being baptized.

Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, ¹  they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake, ²  approaching the boat, and they were frightened.

Now the Jewish feast of Passover ¹  was near, and many people went up to Jerusalem ²  from the rural areas before the Passover to cleanse themselves ritually. ³
