But give from your heart to those in need, ¹  and ²  then everything will be clean for you. ³ 

Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

But he ¹  replied, “They don’t need to go. You ²  give them something to eat.”

Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. ¹ 

The ¹  foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

saying, “Give me this power ¹  too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, ¹  for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” ²  says the Lord.

But he answered them, ¹  “You ²  give them something to eat.” And they said, “Should we go and buy bread for two hundred silver coins ³  and give it to them to eat?”

Sell your possessions ¹  and give to the poor. ²  Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out – a treasure in heaven ³  that never decreases, ⁴  where no thief approaches and no moth ⁵  destroys.

But the father said to his slaves, ¹  ‘Hurry! Bring the best robe, ²  and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger ³  and sandals ⁴  on his feet!

He declared ¹  in a loud voice: “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has arrived, and worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water!”

As much as ¹  she exalted herself and lived in sensual luxury, ²  to this extent give her torment and grief because she said to herself, ³  ‘I rule as queen and am no widow; I will never experience grief!’

But he said to them, “You ¹  give them something to eat.” They ²  replied, ³  “We have no more than five loaves and two fish – unless ⁴  we go ⁵  and buy food ⁶  for all these people.”
