For since death came through a man, ¹  the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. ² 

So there was a division in the crowd ¹  because of Jesus. ² 

but it is more vital for your sake that I remain ¹  in the body. ² 

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. ¹ 

Jesus said, ¹  “This voice has not come for my benefit ²  but for yours.

For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in him; therefore also through him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.

Consequently, ¹  just as condemnation ²  for all people ³  came ⁴  through one transgression, ⁵  so too through the one righteous act ⁶  came righteousness leading to life ⁷  for all people.

Or is he not surely speaking for our benefit? It was written for us, because the one plowing and threshing ought to work in hope of enjoying the harvest.

Now ¹  after some days, when he returned to Capernaum, ²  the news spread ³  that he was at home.

All things were created ¹  by him, and apart from him not one thing was created ²  that has been created. ³ 

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

So the word of the Lord was spreading ¹  through the entire region.

After several years ¹  I came to bring to my people gifts for the poor ²  and to present offerings, ³ 

For just as it is written, “the name of God is being blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” ¹ 

But the statement it was credited to him ¹  was not written only for Abraham’s ²  sake,

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance. ¹ 

In regard to the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but in regard to election they are dearly loved for the sake of the fathers.

You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, ¹  which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,

I have not taken advantage of you through anyone I have sent to you, have I? ¹ 

For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; ¹  instead I received it ²  by a revelation of Jesus Christ. ³
