But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.” ¹ 

He won’t thank the slave because he did what he was told, ¹  will he? ² 

For we have all received from his fullness one gracious gift after another. ¹ 

Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. ¹ 

For sin will have no mastery over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus ¹  for the sake of you Gentiles –

For this reason ¹  I kneel ²  before the Father, ³ 

So ¹  the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, ²  Mary, for you have found favor ³  with God!

He ¹  found favor ²  with ³  God and asked that he could ⁴  find a dwelling place ⁵  for the house ⁶  of Jacob.

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, ¹  they urged Festus ²  to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush ³  to kill him along the way.

Through him ¹  we have received grace and our apostleship ²  to bring about the obedience ³  of faith ⁴  among all the Gentiles on behalf of his name.

And we have different gifts ¹  according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith.

Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem. ¹ 

Now because we are fellow workers, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain. ¹ 

Now we make known to you, brothers and sisters, ¹  the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.

Thus ¹  we urged ²  Titus that, just as he had previously begun this work, ³  so also he should complete this act of kindness ⁴  for you.

And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you. ¹ 

I do not set aside ¹  God’s grace, because if righteousness ²  could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing! ³
