And the disciples were filled with joy ¹  and with the Holy Spirit.

So ¹  they worshiped ²  him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, ³ 

I always pray with joy in my every prayer for all of you

So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him,

As I remember your tears, I long to see you, ¹  so that I may be filled with joy.

So ¹  they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

And while they still could not believe it ¹  (because of their joy) and were amazed, ²  he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” ³ 

I do not mean that we rule over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm. ¹ 

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of ¹  all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

The ¹  seed sown on rocky ground ²  is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.

These are the ones sown on rocky ground: As soon as they hear the word, they receive it with joy.

Then ¹  the seventy-two ²  returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to ³  us in your name!” ⁴ 

that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth ¹  of their generosity.

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received ¹  the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, ¹  and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly ²  had a better and lasting possession.

Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. ¹  But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness ²  for those trained by it.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all that he had and bought that field.

Those ¹  on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, ²  but ³  in a time of testing ⁴  fall away. ⁵ 

When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she did not open the gate, but ran back in and told ¹  them ²  that Peter was standing at the gate.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, ¹  so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
