They ¹  were delighted ²  and arranged to give him money. ³ 

But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it.

When they heard this, they were delighted ¹  and promised to give him money. ²  So ³  Judas ⁴  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.

If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, ¹ 

He ¹  said to them, “Take nothing for your ²  journey – no staff, ³  no bag, ⁴  no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic. ⁵ 

Why then didn’t you put ¹  my money in the bank, ²  so that when I returned I could have collected it with interest?’

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, ¹  because you thought you could acquire ²  God’s gift with money!

When ¹  he returned after receiving the kingdom, he summoned ²  these slaves to whom he had given the money. He wanted ³  to know how much they had earned ⁴  by trading.

But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, ¹  but what I do have I give you. In the name ²  of Jesus Christ ³  the Nazarene, stand up and ⁴  walk!”
