So the disciples went back to their homes.

So they went. When ¹  he went out again about noon and three o’clock that afternoon, ²  he did the same thing.

So they went away by themselves in a boat to some remote place.

But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business.

Now ¹  Jesus went up the mountain ²  and called for those he wanted, and they came to him.

So ¹  they went and found a colt tied at a door, outside in the street, and untied it.

After this many of his disciples quit following him ¹  and did not accompany him ²  any longer.

But some of them went to the Pharisees ¹  and reported to them ²  what Jesus had done.

So when Jesus ¹  said to them, “I am he,” they retreated ²  and fell to the ground. ³ 

nor did I go up to Jerusalem ¹  to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, ²  and then returned to Damascus.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

Now ¹  they wanted to arrest him (but they feared the crowd), because they realized that he told this parable against them. So ²  they left him and went away. ³ 

Then ¹  some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see him.” ² 

And he said, ¹  “Go!” So ²  they came out and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned in the water.

Jesus replied, ¹  “A man was going down ²  from Jerusalem ³  to Jericho, ⁴  and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat ⁵  him up, and went off, leaving him half dead. ⁶ 

When ¹  the angels left them and went back to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem ²  and see this thing that has taken place, that the Lord ³  has made known to us.”

The next day the crowd that remained on the other side of the lake ¹  realized that only one small boat ²  had been there, and that Jesus had not boarded ³  it with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone.
