But in those sacrifices ¹  there is a reminder of sins year after year.

to give his people knowledge of salvation ¹  through the forgiveness ²  of their sins.

He ¹  went into all the region around the Jordan River, ²  preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³ 

in whom we have redemption, ¹  the forgiveness of sins.

and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.

then he says, ¹  “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no longer.” ² 

Above all keep ¹  your love for one another fervent, ²  because love covers a multitude of sins. ³ 

for this is my blood, the blood ¹  of the covenant, ²  that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

In the wilderness ¹  John the baptizer ²  began preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³ 

and repentance ¹  for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed ²  in his name to all nations, ³  beginning from Jerusalem. ⁴ 

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one ¹  forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

“For I will be merciful toward their evil deeds, and their sins I will remember no longer.” ¹ 

For otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers would have been purified once for all and so have ¹  no further consciousness of sin?

But when this priest ¹  had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand ²  of God,

For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, ¹ 

She will give birth to a son and you will name him ¹  Jesus, ²  because he will save his people from their sins.”

God exalted him ¹  to his right hand as Leader ²  and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³ 

About him all the prophets testify, ¹  that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins ²  through his name.”

For I passed on to you as of first importance ¹  what I also received – that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,

For every high priest is taken from among the people ¹  and appointed ²  to represent them before God, ³  to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
