sold ¹  a field ²  that belonged to him and brought the money ³  and placed it at the apostles’ feet.

Then ¹  Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

When Jesus noticed this, ¹  he said, “How hard ²  it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! ³ 

Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit ¹  was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, offered them money,

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, ¹  because you thought you could acquire ²  God’s gift with money!

At the same time he was also hoping that Paul would give him money, ¹  and for this reason he sent for Paul ²  as often as possible ³  and talked ⁴  with him.
