They replied, “The Lord needs it.”

Contribute to the needs of the saints, pursue hospitality.

For even in Thessalonica ¹  on more than one occasion ²  you sent something for my need.

In this way you will live ¹  a decent life before outsiders and not be in need. ² 

Now on the topic of times and seasons, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  you have no need for anything to be written to you.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.”

For though you should in fact be teachers by this time, ¹  you need someone to teach you the beginning elements of God’s utterances. ²  You have gone back to needing ³  milk, not ⁴  solid food.

When ¹  Jesus heard this he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

But he ¹  replied, “They don’t need to go. You ²  give them something to eat.”

Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “Why do we still need witnesses?

but one thing ¹  is needed. Mary has chosen the best ²  part; it will not be taken away from her.”

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs ¹  it.’”

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

and they began selling ¹  their property ²  and possessions and distributing the proceeds ³  to everyone, as anyone had need.

and placing them at the apostles’ feet. The proceeds ¹  were distributed to each, as anyone had need.

You yourselves know that these hands of mine ¹  provided for my needs and the needs of those who were with me.

They also bestowed many honors, ¹  and when we were preparing to sail, ²  they gave ³  us all the supplies we needed. ⁴ 

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

Here is another way that our people ¹  can learn ²  to engage in good works to meet pressing needs and so not be unfruitful.

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹
