But whoever drinks some of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again, ¹  but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain ²  of water springing up ³  to eternal life.”

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water! What is to stop me ¹  from being baptized?” ² 

For they deliberately suppress this fact, ¹  that by the word of God ²  heavens existed long ago and an earth ³  was formed out of water and by means of water.

I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

to sanctify her by cleansing her ¹  with the washing of the water by the word,

Through these things ¹  the world existing at that time was destroyed when it was deluged with water.

When ¹  the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came from ²  (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), he ³  called the bridegroom

(Now ¹  the name of the star is ²  Wormwood.) ³  So ⁴  a third of the waters became wormwood, ⁵  and many people died from these waters because they were poisoned. ⁶ 

Jesus told the servants, ¹  “Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the very top.

A Samaritan woman ¹  came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me some water ²  to drink.”

Jesus replied, ¹  “Everyone who drinks some of this water will be thirsty ²  again.

But one of the soldiers pierced ¹  his side with a spear, and blood and water ²  flowed out immediately.

For ¹  John baptized with water, but you ²  will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Can a fig tree produce olives, my brothers and sisters, ¹  or a vine produce figs? Neither can a salt water spring produce fresh water.

the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.

His feet were like polished bronze ¹  refined ²  in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar ³  of many waters.

Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood – not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because ¹  the Spirit is the truth.

Peter ¹  said to him, ²  “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.”

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures ¹  and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.
