Then Moses ¹  and Elijah ²  also appeared before them, talking with him.

Then Elijah appeared before them along with Moses, ¹  and they were talking with Jesus.

Then ¹  two men, Moses and Elijah, ²  began talking with him. ³ 

He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard ¹  how he might ²  betray Jesus, ³  handing him over to them. ⁴ 

Then, after conferring with his council, ¹  Festus ²  replied, “You have appealed to Caesar; ³  to Caesar ⁴  you will go!” ⁵ 

They ¹  were all amazed and began to say ²  to one another, “What’s happening here? ³  For with authority and power ⁴  he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
