He ¹  will reward ²  each one according to his works: ³ 

For we consider that a person ¹  is declared righteous by faith apart from the works of the law. ² 

it is not from ¹  works, so that no one can boast. ² 

You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.

But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” ¹  Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by ²  my works.

Jesus said to them, ¹  “I have shown you many good deeds ²  from the Father. For which one of them are you going to stone me?”

and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, ¹  practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress – as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works. ² 

They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.

So then they said to him, “What must we do to accomplish the deeds ¹  God requires?” ² 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I performed one miracle ²  and you are all amazed. ³ 

If I do not perform ¹  the deeds ²  of my Father, do not believe me.

eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,

For if Abraham was declared righteous ¹  by the works of the law, he has something to boast about – but not before God.

And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

If what someone has built survives, he will receive a reward.

Now the works of the flesh ¹  are obvious: ²  sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,

to equip ¹  the saints for the work of ministry, that is, ²  to build up the body of Christ,

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather ¹  expose them. ² 

and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

encourage your hearts and strengthen you ¹  in every good thing you do or say. ²
