and he took it and ate it in front of them.

But the one who denies me before men will be denied before God’s angels.

For we are concerned about what is right not only before the Lord but also before men. ¹ 

so that no one can boast in his presence.

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

in holiness and righteousness ¹  before him for as long as we live. ² 

So then, if ¹  you will worship ²  me, all this will be ³  yours.”

But these words seemed like pure nonsense ¹  to them, and they did not believe them.

They stood these men before the apostles, who prayed ¹  and placed ²  their hands on them.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people. ¹ 

I assure you ¹  that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! ² 

Such prayer for all ¹  is good and welcomed before God our Savior,

Those guilty of sin ¹  must be rebuked ²  before all, ³  as a warning to the rest. ⁴ 

But ¹  Jesus ²  said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in men’s eyes, ³  but God knows your hearts. For what is highly prized ⁴  among men is utterly detestable ⁵  in God’s sight.

The one who conquers ¹  will be dressed like them ²  in white clothing, ³  and I will never ⁴  erase ⁵  his name from the book of life, but ⁶  will declare ⁷  his name before my Father and before his angels.

the twenty-four elders throw themselves to the ground ¹  before the one who sits on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns ²  before his ³  throne, saying:

and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No ¹  one was able to learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.

that person ¹  will also drink of the wine of God’s anger ²  that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur ³  in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.

And you, child, ¹  will be called the prophet ²  of the Most High. ³  For you will go before ⁴  the Lord to prepare his ways, ⁵ 

Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? ¹  Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.
