He must become more important while I become less important.” ¹ 

So there was ¹  great joy ²  in that city.

I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom ¹  than for that town! ² 

When the people ¹  there recognized him, they sent word into all the surrounding area, and they brought all their sick to him.

And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

“But in those days, after that suffering, ¹  the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

And the news of this spread throughout that region. ¹ 

But they went out and spread the news about him throughout that entire region. ¹ 

At that time Herod the tetrarch ¹  heard reports about Jesus,

Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

Woe ¹  to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days!

Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

For this reason that field has been called the “Field of Blood” to this day.

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

She went out and told those who were with him, while they were mourning and weeping.

They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

He himself was not the light, but he came to testify ¹  about the light.
