For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. ¹ 

He replied, “What is impossible ¹  for mere humans ²  is possible for God.”

Jesus ¹  looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, ²  but for God all things are possible.”

In ¹  Lystra ²  sat a man who could not use his feet, ³  lame from birth, ⁴  who had never walked.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. ¹ 

For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, ¹  but not for God; all things are possible for God.”

so that we who have found refuge in him ¹  may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

For God achieved what the law could not do because ¹  it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
