I thank God ¹  that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Was no one found to turn back and give praise to God except this foreigner?” ¹ 

For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Indeed, ¹  who is God besides the Lord? Who is a protector ²  besides our God? ³

Indeed, ¹  who is God besides the Lord? Who is a protector ²  besides our God? ³ 

(Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God – he ¹  has seen the Father.) ² 

except ¹  that the Holy Spirit warns ²  me in town after town ³  that ⁴  imprisonment ⁵  and persecutions ⁶  are waiting for me.

For I decided to be concerned about nothing ¹  among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
