They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

So this sin will become your downfall. You will be like a high wall that bulges and cracks and is ready to collapse; it crumbles suddenly, in a flash. ¹ 

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets. ¹ 

When you hear the signal from the ram’s horn, ¹  have the whole army give a loud battle cry. ²  Then the city wall will collapse ³  and the warriors should charge straight ahead.” ⁴ 

Your words have supported ¹  those who stumbled, ²  and you have strengthened the knees that gave way. ³ 

whose ¹  trust ²  is in something futile, ³  whose security is a spider’s web. ⁴ 

For I am about to stumble, and I am in constant pain. ¹ 

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground. ¹ 

ד (Dalet) I collapse in the dirt. ¹  Revive me with your word! ² 

I collapse ¹  from grief. Sustain me by your word! ² 

The sluice gates ¹  are opened; the royal palace is deluged ²  and dissolves. ³ 

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

The rain fell, the flood ¹  came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.

All day long they cause me trouble; ¹  they make a habit of plotting my demise. ² 

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, ¹  and when he stumbles do not let your heart rejoice,

When the wicked increase, ¹  transgression increases, but the righteous will see ²  their downfall.

Now the coastlands will tremble on the day of your fall; the coastlands by the sea will be terrified by your passing.’ ¹ 

For you say, ‘Where now is the nobleman’s house, ¹  and where are the tents in which the wicked lived?’ ² 

Who planned this for royal Tyre, ¹  whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the dignitaries ²  of the earth?

The Lord told me, ¹  “Tell the king and the queen mother, ‘Surrender your thrones, ²  for your glorious crowns will be removed ³  from your heads. ⁴
