Then ¹  a cloud ²  overshadowed them, ³  and a voice came from the cloud, “This is my one dear Son. ⁴  Listen to him!” ⁵ 

As ¹  he was saying this, a cloud ²  came ³  and overshadowed ⁴  them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

And when ¹  the cloud remained only ²  from evening until morning, when the cloud was taken up ³  the following morning, then they traveled on. Whether by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up they traveled.

Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

¹  And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they traveled ²  from the camp.

He loads the clouds with moisture; ¹  he scatters his lightning through the clouds.

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

You shrouded yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.

and all were baptized ¹  into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

Who are these who float along ¹  like a cloud, who fly like doves to their shelters? ² 

The glory of the Lord resided ¹  on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. ²  On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.

Whenever the cloud was taken up ¹  from the tabernacle, then after that the Israelites would begin their journey; and in whatever place ²  the cloud settled, there the Israelites would make camp.

While he was still speaking, a ¹  bright cloud ²  overshadowed ³  them, and a voice from the cloud said, ⁴  “This is my one dear Son, ⁵  in whom I take great delight. Listen to him!” ⁶ 

The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the Lord by name. ¹ 

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up. ¹ 

This is the way it used to be continually: The cloud would cover it by day, ¹  and there was a fiery appearance by night.

Once the priests left the holy place, a cloud filled the Lord’s temple.

As ¹  a cloud is dispersed and then disappears, ²  so the one who goes down to the grave ³  does not come up again. ⁴
