Moreover, Moses commanded the people that day:

In the presence of all these people I instructed Baruch,

When David was close to death, ¹  he told ²  Solomon his son:

He commanded them: “Carry out your duties with respect for the Lord, with honesty, and with pure motives. ¹ 

He summoned his son Solomon and charged him to build a temple for the Lord God of Israel.

What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin,

But he sternly warned them not to make him known.

He instructed the messenger as follows: “When you finish giving the battle report to the king,

Now Esther had not disclosed her people or her lineage, ¹  for Mordecai had instructed her not to do so. ² 

Her ¹  parents were astonished, but he ordered them to tell no one ²  what had happened.

Moses delivered to us a law, ¹  an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

Immediately Jesus ¹  sent the man ²  away with a very strong warning.

Then ¹  he warned them not to tell anyone about him. ² 

But he forcefully commanded ¹  them not to tell this to anyone, ² 

I furthermore admonished your judges at that time that they ¹  should pay attention to issues among your fellow citizens ²  and judge fairly, ³  whether between one citizen and another ⁴  or a citizen and a resident foreigner. ⁵ 

Why then have you broken the oath you made before the Lord and disobeyed the order I gave you?” ¹ 

In all this Job did not sin, nor did he charge God with moral impropriety. ¹ 

Then he instructed his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ. ¹ 

And Jesus ¹  ordered them, ²  “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees ³  and the yeast of Herod!”

So Abimelech commanded all the people, “Whoever touches ¹  this man or his wife will surely be put to death.” ²
