Now ¹  at that time certain ²  Chaldeans came forward and brought malicious accusations against ³  the Jews.

He said, ¹  “In a certain city ²  there was a judge ³  who neither feared God nor respected people. ⁴ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said, “A man had two sons.

But we must ¹  run aground on some island.”

“A certain creditor ¹  had two debtors; one owed him ²  five hundred silver coins, ³  and the other fifty.

Now a certain man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived. ¹ 

a woman threw an upper millstone ¹  down on his ²  head and shattered his skull.

Now ¹  a certain ruler ²  asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” ³ 

Then some men from Israel’s elders came to me and sat down in front of me.

When one ¹  of the men saw this, he reported it to Joab saying, “I saw Absalom hanging in an oak tree.

He then ¹  told them a parable: ²  “The land of a certain rich man produced ³  an abundant crop,

There was a man named Manoah from Zorah, from the Danite tribe. His wife was infertile and childless. ¹ 

Now as they went on their way, Jesus ¹  entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest. ² 

Some of the Judean divisions of the Levites settled in Benjamin.

But Jesus ¹  said to him, “A man once gave a great banquet ²  and invited ³  many guests. ⁴ 

But at his gate lay ¹  a poor man named Lazarus ²  whose body was covered with sores, ³ 

Now a man named Ananias, together with Sapphira his wife, sold a piece of property.

Rather they had several points of disagreement ¹  with him about their own religion ²  and about a man named Jesus ³  who was dead, whom Paul claimed ⁴  to be alive.

As I urged you when I was leaving for Macedonia, stay on in Ephesus ¹  to instruct ²  certain people not to spread false teachings, ³ 

He reached a certain place ¹  where he decided to camp because the sun had gone down. ²  He took one of the stones ³  and placed it near his head. ⁴  Then he fell asleep ⁵  in that place
