The living beings moved backward and forward as quickly as flashes of lightning. ¹ 

When the living beings moved, the wheels beside them moved; when the living beings rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up too.

Then I looked, ¹  and I saw one wheel ²  on the ground ³  beside each of the four beings.

and make them a little less than the heavenly beings? ¹  You grant mankind ²  honor and majesty; ³ 

For who in the skies can compare to the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings, ¹ 

In the middle ¹  of the living beings was something like ²  burning coals of fire ³  or like torches. It moved back and forth among the living beings. It was bright, and lightning was flashing out of the fire.

When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. ¹  When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.

A psalm of David. Acknowledge the Lord, you heavenly beings, ²  acknowledge the Lord’s majesty and power! ³ 

The cherubim rose up; these were the living beings ¹  I saw at the Kebar River.

In the fire ¹  were what looked like ²  four living beings. ³  In their appearance they had human form, ⁴ 

For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

Over the heads of the living beings was something like a platform, ¹  glittering awesomely like ice, ²  stretched out over their heads.

Wherever the spirit ¹  would go, they would go, ²  and the wheels would rise up beside them because the spirit ³  of the living being was in the wheel.

and the sound of the living beings’ wings brushing against each other, and the sound of the wheels alongside them, a great rumbling sound.

“I do not accept ¹  praise ²  from people, ³ 

their wings touched each other; they did not turn as they moved, but went straight ahead. ¹ 

Formerly when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods at all. ¹ 

And the four living creatures were saying “Amen,” and the elders threw themselves to the ground ¹  and worshiped.

When the cherubim ¹  stood still, the wheels ²  stood still, and when they rose up, the wheels ³  rose up with them, for the spirit ⁴  of the living beings ⁵  was in the wheels. ⁶
