“Remember ¹  the Sabbath ²  day to set it apart as holy. ³ 

Then ¹  he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, ²  not people for the Sabbath.

The Israelites must keep the Sabbath by observing the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.

It was the day of preparation ¹  and the Sabbath was beginning. ² 

For the Son of Man is lord ¹  of the Sabbath.”

Pray ¹  that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

For this reason the Son of Man is lord ¹  even of the Sabbath.”

Then ¹  he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord ²  of the Sabbath.”

Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues ¹  on the Sabbath,

He addressed ¹  both Jews and Greeks in the synagogue ²  every Sabbath, attempting to persuade ³  them.

You must not kindle a fire ¹  in any of your homes ²  on the Sabbath day.” ³ 

Or have you not read in the law that the priests in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?

They watched ¹  Jesus ²  closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, ³  so that they could accuse him.

From one month ¹  to the next and from one Sabbath to the next, all people ²  will come to worship me,” ³  says the Lord.

Six days you will gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.”

It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must humble yourselves. ¹  It is a perpetual statute. ² 

When the Israelites were ¹  in the wilderness they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. ² 

This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, ¹  besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

Be careful to observe ¹  the Sabbath day just as the Lord your God has commanded you.

Then ¹  they went to Capernaum. ²  When the Sabbath came, ³  Jesus ⁴  went into the synagogue ⁵  and began to teach.
