You must give it to Eleazar the priest so that he can take it outside the camp, and it must be slaughtered before him. ¹ 

Eleazar the priest is to take ¹  some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times ²  directly in front of the tent of meeting.

When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, ¹  he got up from among the assembly, took a javelin in his hand,

¹ After the plague the Lord said to Moses and to Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, ² 

These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the Israelites in the plains of Moab along the Jordan River opposite Jericho. ¹ 

But there was not a man among these who had been ¹  among those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the Israelites in the wilderness of Sinai.

And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest and the leaders of the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said,

So Moses did as the Lord commanded him; he took Joshua and set ¹  him before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community.

So Moses sent them to the war, one thousand from every tribe, with Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, who was in charge ¹  of the holy articles ²  and the signal trumpets.

Then Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who had gone into the battle, “This is the ordinance of the law that the Lord commanded Moses:

“You and Eleazar the priest, and all the family leaders of the community, take the sum ¹  of the plunder that was captured, both people and animals.

So Moses gave the tribute, which was the Lord’s raised offering, to Eleazar the priest, as the Lord commanded Moses.

the Gadites and the Reubenites came and addressed Moses, Eleazar the priest, and the leaders of the community. They said,

So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua son of Nun, and to the heads of the families of the Israelite tribes.

“These are the names of the men who are to allocate the land to you as an inheritance: ¹  Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

And you must not accept a ransom for anyone who has fled to a town of refuge, to allow him to return home and live on his own land before the death of the high priest. ¹ 

The tribal leaders of the Levites went before Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and the Israelite tribal leaders

So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they assigned Hebron (a city of refuge for one who committed manslaughter), Libnah,

When these men broke into Micah’s house and stole ¹  the carved image, the ephod, the personal idols, and the metal image, the priest said to them, “What are you doing?”

The priest was happy. He took the ephod, the personal idols, and the carved image and joined the group. ¹
