For just like the lightning flashes ¹  and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. ² 

And those who were in front ¹  scolded ²  him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted ³  even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then ¹  Jesus said to him, “Today salvation ²  has come to this household, ³  because he too is a son of Abraham! ⁴ 

Then ¹  the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What should I do? I will send my one dear son; ²  perhaps they will respect him.’

But stay alert at all times, ¹  praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that must ²  happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined, ¹  but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”

So ¹  they all said, “Are you the Son of God, ²  then?” He answered ³  them, “You say ⁴  that I am.”

that ¹  the Son of Man must be delivered ²  into the hands of sinful men, ³  and be crucified, ⁴  and on the third day rise again.” ⁵ 

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, ¹  but that the world should be saved through him.

Now he came to a Samaritan town ¹  called Sychar, ²  near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. ³ 

They asked the parents, ¹  “Is this your son, whom you say ²  was born blind? Then how does he now see?”

So his parents replied, ¹  “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind.

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, so he found the man ¹  and said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” ² 

do you say about the one whom the Father set apart ¹  and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

She replied, ¹  “Yes, Lord, I believe ²  that you are the Christ, ³  the Son of God who comes into the world.” ⁴ 

While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light.” ¹  When Jesus had said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.

When ¹  Judas ²  had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, ¹  so that the Father may be glorified ²  in the Son.

The Jewish leaders ¹  replied, ²  “We have a law, ³  and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!” ⁴ 

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, ¹  look, here is your son!”
