So David hid in the field. When the new moon came, the king sat down to eat his meal.

She brought it to Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they arose and left that same night.

“Therefore, ¹  I will not refrain my mouth; ²  I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain ³  in the bitterness of my soul.

“I ¹  am weary ²  of my life; I will complain without restraint; ³  I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

Let the oppressed eat and be filled! ¹  Let those who seek his help praise the Lord! May you ²  live forever!

Do not let truth and mercy ¹  leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. ²
