For ¹  it has been hidden from the eyes of every living creature, and from the birds of the sky it has been concealed.

(41:1) ¹  See, his expectation is wrong, ²  he is laid low even at the sight of it. ³ 

Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the Lord’s favor in the land of the living? ¹ 

Then ¹  the king will be attracted by ²  your beauty. After all, he is your master! Submit ³  to him! ⁴ 

But as for me, my feet almost slipped; my feet almost slid out from under me. ¹ 

When a scorner is punished, the naive ¹  becomes wise; when a wise person is instructed, ²  he gains knowledge.

Jesus answered them, ¹  “Go tell John what you hear and see: ² 

When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

When the slave girl saw him, she began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”

Mary ¹  said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with ²  a man?”

When ¹  they saw him, ²  they related what they had been told ³  about this child,

Then ¹  Jesus ²  turned ³  to his ⁴  disciples and said privately, “Blessed ⁵  are the eyes that see what you see!

Then one of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, praising ¹  God with a loud voice.

Now when the centurion ¹  saw what had happened, he praised God and said, “Certainly this man was innocent!” ² 

And all those who knew Jesus ¹  stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw ²  these things.

He did not need anyone to testify about man, ¹  for he knew what was in man. ² 

Jesus stood up straight ¹  and said to her, “Woman, ²  where are they? Did no one condemn you?”

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time ¹  everything was completed, ²  said (in order to fulfill the scripture), ³  “I am thirsty!” ⁴ 

Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, ¹  we do not become discouraged. ² 

For it is right ¹  for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
