I will do these things to you ¹  because you engaged in prostitution with the nations, polluting yourself with their idols.

I will disturb ¹  many peoples, when I bring about your destruction among the nations, among countries you do not know.

So this is what the sovereign Lord says: I vow ¹  that the nations around you will endure insults as well.

I was concerned for my holy reputation ¹  which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they went.

Then, when my sanctuary is among them forever, the nations will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel.’” ¹ 

Then the herald ¹  made a loud ²  proclamation: “To you, O peoples, nations, and language groups, the following command is given: ³ 

(3:31) ¹  “King Nebuchadnezzar, to all peoples, nations, and language groups that live in all the land: Peace and prosperity! ² 

Israel will be swallowed up among the nations; they will be like a worthless piece of pottery.

My God will reject them, for they have not obeyed him; so they will be fugitives among the nations.

Many nations have now assembled against you. They say, “Jerusalem must be desecrated, ¹  so we can gloat over Zion!” ² 

Will he then ¹  continue to fill and empty his throw net? ²  Will he always ³  destroy ⁴  nations and spare none? ⁵ 

Your schemes will bring shame to your house. Because you destroyed many nations, you will self-destruct. ¹ 

So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations ¹  that come against Jerusalem.”

Then the Lord will go to battle ¹  and fight against those nations, just as he fought battles in ancient days. ² 

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

and repentance ¹  for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed ²  in his name to all nations, ³  beginning from Jerusalem. ⁴ 

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

He will judge disputes between nations; he will settle cases for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares, ¹  and their spears into pruning hooks. ²  Nations will not take up the sword against other nations, and they will no longer train for war.

He will arbitrate ¹  between many peoples and settle disputes between many ²  distant nations. ³  They will beat their swords into plowshares, ⁴  and their spears into pruning hooks. ⁵  Nations will not use weapons ⁶  against other nations, and they will no longer train for war.
