opened it, ¹  and saw the child ²  – a boy, ³  crying! ⁴  – and she felt compassion ⁵  for him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”

But if the servant should declare, ¹  ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out ²  free,’

and my anger will burn and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will be widows and your children will be fatherless. ¹ 

You must not give any of your children as an offering to Molech, ¹  so that you do not profane ²  the name of your God. I am the Lord!
