The Beloved about Her Lover: My lover is mine and I am his; he grazes among the lilies. ¹ 

Cry out and shout for joy, O citizens of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel ¹  acts mightily ²  among you!”

The traders among the peoples hiss at you; you have become a horror, and will be no more.’”

All who know you among the peoples are shocked at you; you have become terrified and will be no more.’”

When all this comes true – and it certainly will ¹  – then they will know that a prophet was among them.”

I was concerned for my holy reputation ¹  which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they went.

Then, when my sanctuary is among them forever, the nations will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel.’” ¹ 

As it turned out, ¹  among these young men ²  were some from Judah: ³  Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. ⁴

But you have been thrown out of your grave like a shoot that is thrown away. ¹  You lie among ²  the slain, among those who have been slashed by the sword, among those headed for ³  the stones of the pit, ⁴  as if you were a mangled corpse. ⁵ 

“Therefore say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Although I have removed them far away among the nations and have dispersed them among the countries, I have been a little ¹  sanctuary for them among the lands where they have gone.’

I will magnify ¹  my great name that has been profaned among the nations, that you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the sovereign Lord, when I magnify myself among you in their sight.

Those survivors from Jacob will live among the nations, in the midst of many peoples. They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which attacks when it passes through; it rips its prey ¹  and there is no one to stop it. ² 

This is the account of Noah. ¹  Noah was a godly man; he was blameless ²  among his contemporaries. ³  He ⁴  walked with ⁵  God.

The Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, for I consider you godly among this generation. ¹ 

Abram settled in the land of Canaan, but Lot settled among the cities of the Jordan plain ¹  and pitched his tents next to Sodom.
