This is the one about whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is greater than I am, ¹  because he existed before me.’

After this he went down to Capernaum ¹  with his mother and brothers ²  and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

So after he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture ¹  and the saying ²  that Jesus had spoken.

But some boats from Tiberias ¹  came to shore ²  near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. ³ 

Thus the Pharisees ¹  said to one another, “You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”

And after Judas ¹  took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. ²  Jesus said to him, ³  “What you are about to do, do quickly.”

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time ¹  everything was completed, ²  said (in order to fulfill the scripture), ³  “I am thirsty!” ⁴ 

After this ¹  Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. ²  Now this is how he did so. ³ 

(Now Jesus ¹  said this to indicate clearly by what kind of death Peter ²  was going to glorify God.) ³  After he said this, Jesus told Peter, ⁴  “Follow me.”

until the day he was taken up to heaven, ¹  after he had given orders ²  by ³  the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.

After ¹  he had said this, while they were watching, he was lifted up and a cloud hid him from their sight.

After ¹  making Peter and John ²  stand in their midst, they began to inquire, “By what power or by what name ³  did you do this?”

But I will punish ¹  the nation they serve as slaves,’ said God, ‘and after these things they will come out of there ²  and worship ³  me in this place.’ ⁴ 

“After ¹  forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the desert ²  of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning bush. ³ 

But Saul was trying to destroy ¹  the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off ²  both men and women and put them in prison. ³ 

not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses God had already chosen, ¹  who ate and drank ²  with him after he rose from the dead.

Therefore if God ¹  gave them the same gift ²  as he also gave us after believing ³  in the Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴  who was I to hinder ⁵  God?”

All this took ¹  about four hundred fifty years. After this ²  he gave them judges until the time of ³  Samuel the prophet.

For David, after he had served ¹  God’s purpose in his own generation, died, ²  was buried with his ancestors, ³  and experienced ⁴  decay,

But Jews came from Antioch ¹  and Iconium, ²  and after winning ³  the crowds over, they stoned ⁴  Paul and dragged him out of the city, presuming him to be dead.
