“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Surely he can’t be the Messiah, ¹  can he?” ² 

When he has brought all his own sheep ¹  out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize ²  his voice.

Many ¹  came to him and began to say, “John ²  performed ³  no miraculous sign, but everything John said about this man ⁴  was true!”

Because Jesus ¹  knew that the Father had handed all things over to him, ²  and that he had come from God and was going back to God,

Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spirit ¹  will receive from me what is mine ²  and will tell it to you. ³ 

Now we know that you know everything ¹  and do not need anyone ²  to ask you anything. ³  Because of this ⁴  we believe that you have come from God.”

(Now this man Judas ¹  acquired a field with the reward of his unjust deed, ²  and falling headfirst ³  he burst open in the middle and all his intestines ⁴  gushed out.

About him all the prophets testify, ¹  that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins ²  through his name.”

So Paul stood ¹  before the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I see that you are very religious ²  in all respects. ³ 

The God who made the world and everything in it, ¹  who is ²  Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, ³ 

And we know that all things work together ¹  for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

Indeed, he who ¹  did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. For although all things are clean, ¹  it is wrong to cause anyone to stumble by what you eat.

For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope.

but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith –

God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

To the weak I became weak in order to gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that by all means I may save some.

just as I also try to please everyone in all things. I do not seek my own benefit, but the benefit ¹  of many, so that they may be saved.

For just as woman came from man, so man comes through woman. But all things come from God.

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, ¹  but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
