Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Instead, keeping God’s commandments is what counts.

Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.

Now in giving the following instruction I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.

so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.

For the one speaking in a tongue does not speak to people but to God, for no one understands; he is speaking mysteries by the Spirit. ¹ 

Brothers and sisters, ¹  do not be children in your thinking. Instead, be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints, ¹ 

And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. The glory of the heavenly body is one sort and the earthly another.

I do not mean that we rule over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm. ¹ 

But if anyone has caused sadness, he has not saddened me alone, but to some extent (not to exaggerate) ¹  he has saddened all of you as well.

For we do not proclaim ¹  ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves ²  for Jesus’ sake.

And they did this not just as we had hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us by the will of God.

I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others. ¹ 

for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, ¹  but are made powerful by God ²  for tearing down strongholds. ³  We tear down arguments ⁴ 

For it is not the person who commends himself who is approved, but the person the Lord commends.

But be that as it may, I have not burdened you. Yet because I was a crafty person, I took you in by deceit!

But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach ¹  a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ²  let him be condemned to hell! ³ 

nor did I go up to Jerusalem ¹  to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, ²  and then returned to Damascus.

On the contrary, when they saw ¹  that I was entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised ²  just as Peter was to the circumcised ³ 

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight – the only thing that matters is faith working through love. ¹
