“‘You ¹  must not deal unjustly in judgment: ²  you must neither show partiality to the poor nor honor the rich. ³  You must judge your fellow citizen fairly. ⁴ 

if it is to be acceptable for your benefit ¹  it must be a flawless male from the cattle, sheep, or goats.

“Let me pass through your land; I will keep strictly to the roadway. ¹  I will not turn aside to the right or the left.

‘Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of either his father or mother.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

Then Naomi’s two sons, Mahlon and Kilion, also died. ¹  So the woman was left all alone – bereaved of her two children ²  as well as her husband!

There was nothing missing, whether small or great. He retrieved sons and daughters, the plunder, and everything else they had taken. ¹  David brought everything back.

No one remembers the former events, ¹  nor will anyone remember ²  the events that are yet to happen; ³  they will not be remembered by the future generations. ⁴ 

For if they fall, one will help his companion up, but pity ¹  the person who falls down and has no one to help him up.

So what advantage does a wise man have over a fool? ¹  And what advantage ²  does a pauper gain by knowing how to survive? ³ 

It is best to take hold of one warning ¹  without letting go of the other warning; ²  for the one who fears God will follow ³  both warnings. ⁴

and to offer a sacrifice according to what is specified in the law of the Lord, a pair of doves ¹  or two young pigeons. ² 

Woe to you experts in religious law! You have taken away ¹  the key to knowledge! You did not go in yourselves, and you hindered ²  those who were going in.”

So ¹  when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” ²  they crucified ³  him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.
