How will they respond to the messengers of this nation? ¹  Indeed, the Lord has made Zion secure; the oppressed among his people will find safety in her.

The chief adviser said to them, “Tell Hezekiah: ‘This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: “What is your source of confidence? ¹ 

“Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope. ¹ 

When they had appointed elders ¹  for them in the various churches, ²  with prayer and fasting ³  they entrusted them to the protection ⁴  of the Lord in whom they had believed.

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be encouraged by hearing news about you.

So you who believe see ¹  his value, ²  but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the ³  cornerstone, ⁴ 

I wait for your deliverance, O Lord. ¹ 

For this is what the master, the Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: “If you repented and patiently waited for me, you would be delivered; ¹  if you calmly trusted in me you would find strength, ²  but you are unwilling.

As a matter of fact, ¹  even your own brothers and the members of your own family have betrayed you too. Even they have plotted to do away with you. ²  So do not trust them even when they say kind things ³  to you.

(For not even his own brothers believed in him.) ¹ 

concerning sin, because ¹  they do not believe in me; ² 

Command those who are rich in this world’s goods ¹  not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, ²  but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.

Can you count on ¹  it to bring in ²  your grain, ³  and gather the grain ⁴  to your threshing floor? ⁵ 

An evil person suffers much pain, ¹  but the Lord’s faithfulness overwhelms the one who trusts in him. ² 

The one who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous ¹  will flourish like a green leaf. ² 

The heart of her husband has confidence ¹  in her, and he has no lack of gain. ² 

Stop trusting in human beings, whose life’s breath is in their nostrils. For why should they be given special consideration?

But Pharaoh’s protection will bring you nothing but shame, and the safety of Egypt’s protective shade nothing but humiliation.

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

But when Jesus heard this, he told ¹  him, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” ²
